Designed for the Segunda Llamada 2013 poster contest
“Consumo” was designed for the Segunda Llamada 2013 poster contest in Mexico, addressing the brief of Responsible Waste Management.
This poster was selected as a finalist and awarded 1st place. It has also been featured in the 1st Italian Poster Biennial and the Golden Bee Global Biennial of Graphic Design 2014.
The poster presents a black trash bag scaled to fill the entire frame, ingeniously designed to evoke the image of a black, turbulent sea seen from an aerial perspective. A lone, small boat navigates from the bottom left, visually representing humanity at the mercy of our waste — a critical phrase positioned close by to reinforce the dire environmental commentary.
