Golden Bee Global Biennale 2014

The Golden Bee Global Biennale of Graphic Design 2014 (Биеннале Золотая пчела) was held at the Moscow Central House of Artists from October 7th to October 12th, 2014.

The Biennale’s main exhibition was exceptionally comprehensive, featuring diverse sections such as: Display Types, Black and White, Red and Black, Color and Light in Poster Designs, Digital Effects, Typographic Posters, Poster with a Capital P, Illustration in Posters, Photography in Posters, The Whole World, and dedicated sections to various design movements including the Polish Poster School, Swiss Poster School, German Poster School, French Poster School, American Poster School, Iranian Poster School, Chinese Poster School, Japanese Poster School, Russian Poster School, and Ukrainian Poster School. Additionally, special thematic sections highlighted World War I, Zdanevich 120, Majakovsky 120, Poster Diary, Bach! Bach!, Zajazyk, Grand Prix 2012, Ecological Posters, and Faith. Hope. Love.

The Golden Bee 11 contest shattered submission records for not only previous Golden Bee Biennales but also for similar exhibitions worldwide. Approximately 15,000 entries from 74 countries were submitted. From these, the National Pre-selection Committee meticulously chose 1,170 works from 57 countries for the main exposition. This included 1,001 works for Category (A) Posters, 60 works for Category (B) Display Types, 54 works for Category (C) Ecology, and 55 works for Category (D) Faith. Hope. Love.
