4th block IXth international triennial

The IX International Triennial of Ecological Graphic Art and Posters “4th Block” traditionally coincides with the anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster. This year, the triennial fosters a complex visual dialogue on our planet’s most pressing issues. From over four thousand submissions, the selection committee chose 930 works for exhibition.

“It was a huge undertaking, taking our curators more than eight months,” said Professor Oleg Veklenko, President of the triennial. “The exhibition will ultimately showcase masters of graphic design alongside young talents from all corners of our planet, from Ukraine to Japan.”

This year’s three main exhibitions are “Human Ecology,” “Ecology of the Earth,” and “Cultural Ecology.” Notably, “Cultural Ecology” commemorates the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri’s medieval masterpiece, The Divine Comedy – Inferno.
